I just made an amazing Spicy Salmon Dip using Tastefully Simple Fiesta Party Dip Mix. It is so good, I want to lick the bowl. I'm in trouble...
I'm having so much fun being a Tastefully Simple Consultant, but I need to host more parties! I have one scheduled for this Wednesday and it will be a new group of people so I can't wait!

What I made for Dinner
Last night we grilled steaks. I used the Garlic Pepper Seasoning, to season the steaks. I also cooked mashed sweet potatoes and green beans. I added some Onion, Onion, to the green beans, and it really added a lot of flavor, they were yummy. I dipped my steak in the Merlot Sauce, it was delicious!
I will continue to post dinners that I make using Tastefully Simple products, so that you can see how easy it is to add them to your every day cooking.
What about you? What Tastefully Simple products do you love to add when you are cooking?

$25 to start your own business. WHAT?!?
That's right, it only cost me $25 to start as a consultant with Tastefully Simple. Crazy, right?!?
I used my host rewards I earned from my party I had on April 3rd and only had to pay $25.
I signed up last night to become a consultant. I will be getting a phone call in the next few days to confirm my information from the TS Headquarters, and then after that they will be mailing me my start up kit. Then I will be shipping out catalogs to my friend for a book/Internet party. After that I have a party scheduled for Cinco De Mayo, with my neighbor. That should be a good time, her friends know how to party!
I can't wait to start earning extra money for my family, it will be so great to pay off some bills. After we pay off the two larger bills that we have, I am going to use the money that I earn for YOGA! I need yoga, I miss yoga. I have not been able to go in months, and I need some balance in my life.
My future is looking bright!

Have you thought about direct sales?
I was given this article by my sponsor Laurie Webb, she sent it on to her team as a "Good Read" so I thought I would share.
David Bach is a financial expert on building wealth. He has written several books and has been on many tv shows, including Oprah. In his books (“Smart Women Finish Rich”, “The Automatic Millionaire”, “Start Late, Finish Rich” and more) David endorses direct sales businesses as a way to build wealth. In “Start Late, Finish Rich”, David states the following as 13 reasons to consider direct selling:
1. The moment you join a direct selling company you are in business.
2. You don’t have to reinvent the wheel.
3. You don’t have to do it all yourself.
4. You will be forced to stretch yourself.
5. You will find mentors and experts.
6. You can create passive income.
7. You may make a new circle of friends.
8. You don’t have to retire.
9. You get to help other people.
10. You make your own hours.
11. Tax incentives!
12. Direct selling is less expensive to get into than many other businesses.
13. It’s a family business.
He also states the following as “putting the odds in your favor in direct selling”
1. Only get into a business you are passionate about.
2. Only sign up with a well-established company.
3. Visit the company headquarters and meet the management. 4. Read the financials.
5. Consider only DSA (Direct Selling Association) members.

Free is Good!
I may not have to spend anything out of pocket to start up my business! I had a successful party this weekend, and by the time my party closes, I may have enough in host credits to pay for the start up package.
If I wasn't using the host rewards towards my start up costs, I would earn anywhere from $110 - $130 in free Tastefully Simple product. Plus the 15 Order Bonus, and the Booking Rewards. That's a lot of product!!!

Starting my own business
Well this is it. I am starting out on a new adventure. I am starting my own business. I have decided to become a Tastefully Simple Consultant. I've gotta say, I'm a little nervous, and super excited. Tonight I am going to an open house at my "Sponsor" Laurie's house, I can't wait to see her in action. I am hosting a party at my house on Sunday, and the host rewards that I earn from it I am going to use towards my start up price. Once I know how much I am able to use I am going to sign up to become a consultant.
I have a few friends who have said that they want to host a party with me, but none of them have set a date. I need to have at least 4 people host a party in my first 40 days so that I can earn some rewards. So if anyone in the Omaha area is reading this and wants to host a party, just let me know!
I got really excited when I was looking at pictures from conferences Laurie has attended, they look like so much fun, and I hope that some day I will be able to attend one.
Well this is my post for now. I plan to blog more next week after my party and when I sign up. I hope you enjoy the journey with me!
