David Bach is a financial expert on building wealth.   He has written several books and has been on many tv shows, including Oprah. In his books   (“Smart Women Finish Rich”, “The Automatic Millionaire”, “Start Late, Finish Rich” and more) David endorses direct sales businesses as a way to build wealth.   In “Start Late, Finish Rich”, David states the following as 13 reasons to consider direct selling:

1. The moment you join a direct selling company you are in business.
2. You don’t have to reinvent the wheel.
3. You don’t have to do it all yourself.
4. You will be forced to stretch yourself.
5. You will find mentors and experts.
6. You can create passive income.
7. You may make a new circle of friends.
8. You don’t have to retire.
9. You get to help other people.
10. You make your own hours.
11. Tax incentives!
12. Direct selling is less expensive to get into than many other businesses.
13. It’s a family business.

He also states the following as “putting the odds in your favor in direct selling”
1. Only get into a business you are passionate about.
2. Only sign up with a well-established company.
3. Visit the company headquarters and meet the management.  4. Read the financials.
5. Consider only DSA (Direct Selling Association) members.
